Italian style and quality in picture framing...

Not all picture frames were created equal. While the "staples" in the picture framing arena are these days defined by the simple clean line frame most notably in black, white and raw timber, there is still a place for the "hero" piece in a room and that's where Italian Style comes into its own.

In keeping with the "not too over the top" look this new Italian range known as the Murano Selection from Italian frame-maker Bellini, has got the style perfetto.

These superb hand finished frames have real metallic foil applied rather than a spray painted finish. They are then rubbed back to expose the underlying base colour creating the true character of an artisan made frame, ideal to showcase a modern or traditional image or photo or make it into a framed mirror. The larger frames are perfect for a focal piece in a room and there a smaller versions ideal to create a picture collage of individually framed items. The frame shapes and finish reflect current trends but are made in the old tradition where the frame was an important aspect of the overall presentation of the work of art.

Sounds expensive!!

Well yes these frames will cost more than a simple black, white or Tassie oak frame, but compared to some of our up-market frames you may be pleasantly surprised. The good news is the Subscriber only Pre Xmas framing sale is now running till November 30th.
