Dromana Pier by Nick Psomiadis | Standard Format

In photographer Nick's own words, "Dromana is a bayside centre located south of Melbourne, nestled between Safety Beach and McCrae on the Mornington Peninsula. The Pier stretches out 200 meters making it popular for fishing so wanting to be the first one out I had to be up as early as possible. I recall it being a warm morning that day, the beach was so calm with only a slight breeze in the air but otherwise totally silent. Arriving at the pier I noticed the reflections in the sand created by the waves and so I decided that’s where I needed to be for this shot. I set up the camera and watched how peacefully each breaking wave reaching my feet was leaving a reflection on the sand, this was certainly an enjoyable experience but thats not what I was there for. As each breaking wave created a reflection I was firing away frame after frame until the sun came up and eventually calling it a wrap."

I discovered Nick's work on display at an artist's market. His shot of Flatiron Fifth Ave Clock (NY) stopped me in my tracks. 

The conversation that ensued gave me a glimpse of the pride and passion Nick takes in his work. We are delighted to have his works on display in our gallery in Malvern as well as having them available on our web site.
Photography began for Nick long before the age of 17 and the 35mm film camera always had a special place in his heart.

Nick's photographic works are produced in his studio and each image is meticulously produced by him and printed on high quality metalic based gloss photographic paper or canvas. Each image comes with a certificate of authenticity and is signed and numbered with only 200 of each image available. They are printed with Epson archival premium colourfast pigment inks to ensure the longevity of your print.
